Traditional Use
In northern Thailand, the tuberous root is consumed as a food by the elderly in particular for the following:

- Reduce menopause symptoms
- Breast firmness and reduce sagging
Serving suggestion: Add 1/4 flat teaspoon to your favourite drink, tea or coffee every morning and evening. Traditionally, Pueraria mirifica is consumed as a functional food by women for 3 weeks per month, stopping for 1 week during menstruation and as with most herbs, is not consumed during pregnancy. Studies
Pueraria mirifica, also known as White Kwao Krua is a tuberous food found in northern and north eastern Thailand and Myanmar. Pueraria mirifica tuber contains high levels of natural phytoestrogens including miroestrol, deoxymiroestrol, puerarin, daidzein, genistin, genistein, B-Sitosterol, stigmasterol, coumestrol, campesterol, mirificoumestan, kwakhurin, and mirificine.
